Jonathan Hood
Jonathan Hood is a professional athlete, motivational speaker, personal coach and youth mentor. He grew up in Mississauga, Ontario. excelling in many sports. in 2004 he accepted a football scholarship to St. Francis Xavier University. At STFX, he completed a bachelor’s degree with honours in Psychology. He also made accomplishments on the field. In 2007, Jonathan set a CIS record for the longest kick return for a touchdown (128 yards); scored 5 touchdowns and was an AUS All-Star.
In 2008 he was drafted 26th overall in the CFL to the Edmonton Eskimos. He spent half the season with the Eskimos before returning to school to complete a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology with a specialization in Sports Psychology at The University of Western Ontario. Jonathan signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2010. In 2010 he had 10 special team tackles in 14 games. In 2011 he was third in the league in special team tackles with 22.
Jonathan is heavily involved in the community. Aside from coaching young leaders at GTA Youth Athletics football camps, he runs a high school youth mentoring program alongside Ryan Hinds. He also speaks at various events, schools, convocation ceremonies and business luncheons. He is part of a multitude of community initiatives with The CFL that are aimed at promoting a healthy active lifestyle.

Ryan Hinds
Selected in the second round (13th overall) of the 2009 CFL Canadian Draft. After being injured the first 9 games of the season, hinds played in 10 and started 7 games at Corner for the Ticats as a rookie. Hinds recorded 24 tackles and an interception in his rookie season. In 2011 Ryan started the first 12 games of the season before missing next 7 weeks before returning in the Eastern Final loss in Winnipeg.
Played four seasons (2006-09) at New Hampshire…made 133 tackles (92 solo), 10 interceptions, three fumble recoveries and three tackles for losses in 42 games…returned an interception 88 yards for a touchdown…selected as the winner of the Buck Buchanan Distinguished Service Award in his senior season…was named to the CAA Academic All-Conference Team. Hinds studied (Pre-med) Biology and graduated in 2010.
